I do not believe that you will have to check the Court weekly. In California, if Wells Fargo or Citibank wanted to sue, you would receive a letter that states pay up or a suit will be filed.

I don't know if they do that in Texas. But in California, if you ignore their letter, a Process Server will appear at your door.

Is your local Court online? If so, look at other people, who have been sued. If you're near the Court, visit the office and see if you can look at the files.
