Either someone established electric service using your ssn or somebody input the ssn wrong somewhere. Find out what electric account they are collecting on and contact the utility directly to straighten out the problem. If the utility won’t correct the problem, contact the Public Utilities Commission of Texas. You’ll get quicker action that way. Once the utility pulls the account from the CA, you shouldn’t have any problem getting it off your credit report. http://www.puc.state.tx.us/ocp/complaints/complain.cfm
