I assume that you paid the original creditors, is it possible that the accounts were already charged at the time of the payments? If that was the case, they should not have accepted your payment, but that could be where the mistake started.
This sounds old, dispute with the CRAs as obselete. First dispute old address off of the CRAs, it will be easier.
If you have been turned down for credit because of these tradelines, or are paying higher interest rates, then you might have a case. www.naca.net
