Well, the as the debts age the phone calls and mail will be slower until it stops. If you OPT OUT, it will prevent some garbage collector from buying your account and harrassing you 10 years from now. As far as I know all debts must be included in the bk. I don't know if you can reafirm a credit card debt. Hopefully Lady will post to you regarding this. She is the bk expert here. I think you need to get a free consult with an attorney. Let him/her tell you what your options are. In Texas they can't touch your home, car or garnish wages, so you just need to protect banking info. BE CAREFUL, they might try to convince a judge to freeze your checking account if they can convince him that you will remove money from the bank in order to avoid paying the debt. GET YOUR MONEY OUT OF THE BANK NOW. I am probably repeating myself, but it warrants repeating.
