My husband and I filed for bankruptcy (Ch 13)in 1999 and it was dismissed in 2002 (after my husband lost his job the second time after the 9/11 attacks). Trying to do right, I contacted the creditors on the final report and tried to make arrangements for payment. I apparently contacted them (IMC Financial Services, Wichita, KS)to make payment arrangements). This is why they say I admitted to this debt to them. I never signed any agreement with this CA.
Last payment to Chase was in June, 1998 and IMC bought it in Dec, 1998, but I never paid any money to IMC until after the BK was dismissed in April, 2002.I know this is confusing, but boy was I confused after the courts threw the BK out with no mercy and told us to refile again in 6 months
with new filing fees, etc. etc.
