First, Bankruptcy laws are federal laws, not state laws. If you file for bankruptcy, you are asking for ALL unsecured debts to be dishcarged. You have the option of re-affirming ONLY on secured debts, i.e., your house and auto,.... debts in which there is collateral securing the loan. You CAN NOT pick and choose ANY unseucured debts to re-affirm. You are required to list ALL unsecured debts. IF you do not list all of your unsecured debts and hide them from the court, your bankruptcy case may be overturned.... I speak from experience on this matter.
