Not many creditors show up. Usually, the ones from out of state never have a representative present. If your attorney filed the bankrupty paperwork for you with his name on it, he needs to attend the meeting or the trustee will continue the meeting. The bankruptcy trustee will ask you a lot of standard questions about your debts and assets. I recommend you go to one of the meetings as to see how what questions are being asked. The meetings are open to the public. Just call the bankruptcy clerk to see what day they hold the meetings on ch. 7 cases and just sit at the back.
