Just got a letter from W&A (for MBNA) it goes as followes: Our client has authorized this office to make an offer to settle your past-due account. We have been permitted to make an offer to accept $__________ (this is left blank) which represents ____(left blank again)% of the outstanding balance as settlement in full of your obigation. We will note our file that if a lump sum payment in the above-referenced amount is made by_____(blank again) we will cease all futher collections eforts and mark this matter as settled in full. Please make your check or money order to our client but sent it to our office along with the payment coupon below. please be sure to include the W&A file number listed above on your payment.
SOOOOOOOO guys what to make of this??? Fill in the "blank" for one dollar? Send money order for 0.00 as that is the amount stated above??
Balance is 20K+ . Anybody ever run across this before???
