Dealing with credit card co

Due to moving I got several months behind in my credit card payment with Direct merchants bank.I am currently over $700 behind on a balance of $6,374.They call me at home at work almost on a daily basis asking for payment.I did talk to one person and told them my situation and they told me they would set up a payment plan to get my account current again which I agreed to a amout of $160.0 a month, They also said that they would stop charging me over the limit charges.which according to my statment I also got to they they still are.That was a few weeks ago but I still get the calls.Today in the mail I got a letter saying my card had been cancelled and demanding the full delinquent amount of $744.00.I proceeded to call them and the person I talked to was real rude.He kept going on and on about doing a post dated check which I didn't, I don't feel comfortable doing that.I Just Hung up on him.My Question is How to I go for here? I have been sending them $100 a month that about all I can afford.Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated
