I'm new and one of your people suggested your site for my creditor problems. A year ago I became disabled in a home accident. I'm 52, in Arizona, and lost my job and couldn't pay credit cards, medical providers, etc. I'm on state welfare filing for Social Security Disabilty and the only possession I have is my car (which is paid in full) and worth about $5,000 which welfare didn't force me to sell only because I need it to go to doctors' appontments, etc. I've got about $12,000 debt with MBNA, $3,000 Discover, $5,000 with AAA Financial (which they sold to a CA) and AT&T of $5,000--the medical providers have given up calling and have maked my account as uncollectable. I"m not making it financially and getting help for my electricty, gas and telephone, but MBNA CA calls every day, get nasty and rude and I've stopped answering the phone. I don't have the money to file Bankruptcy and I also heard that if you file Bankruptcy 7 you need to show the judge that you have some sufficient income or he can refuse to do the bankruptcy. (1) Can anyone give me any info about what the CAs may have in mind to do with me? (2) Would they be able to take my car especially since I need it due to disabilty?
