sorry to hear of your situation .. hate to say this but yes they can attempt to collect on the account & the fact that you own a home even with a mortage honestly they have lots of power over you becouse of this EXCEPT if you filed BK than the balls in your court but honestly i dont know enough of your situation to suggest that .. yes their jerkoffs for raising your rate from 4 % to 28 % thats CRAZY but they get away with it unless you payoff the card than tell them to drop dead .. i dunno if in your situation id REFUSE to pay if youre able to pay unless your prepared to get the endless calls from these losers but honestly i dont blame ya 1 bit for not wanting to pay them anymore after how their treating ya with that crazy increase .. its late & im just typing here but im sure tomorrow others will give you some strong advise , whychats the best on this forum & a others are good also .. good luck , bye kelly ......
