Several years ago, during a financial crisis I feel behind in my credit card payments. Over a several month period I was able to negotiate a payoff plan with every one of my cards, except for US Bank. They insisted on an enormous amount to start - which wasn't feasible.

I did not hear from them for the next 6 months. then I received a call stating the ahte account was charged off and in collection. Now they were willing to agree to a payoff plan. For the past 3 years I have been making monthly payments. The account will be paid-in-full in 1 1/2 years from now. My concern is that the even though I have been paying according to our agreement, the "charged off" is still on my credit report and from what I have been told, even though I pay off the full amount the "9" will stay on my report for up to 10 years.

Is there anything I can do to get that off?
