Sounds just like a Midland tactic. Don't give them anything. If they can't validate, that's their problem.

Sending a validation letter before the SOL has expired is usually not a good idea, but they've made it obvious that they have nothing that they could use to prevail should they decide to file suit. Keep that in mind and ignore them for now. Double-check to make sure you are truly with the SOL. When was the last time you paid the original creditor BEFORE the account was in arrears? Calculate it from the date of the first missed payment.

If you ignore them and the end of the SOL is near, there's a chance you can get beyond the SOL. Then send them Why Chat's SOL letter.
