My ex-husband and I have been divorced for 5 years. He sold the house we lived in together for 5 years and he continued to live in for about another 3 years, and kept all of the equity. We had a second loan to add on a room and swimming pool. He used the equity when he sold the house to pay off the loan. He put in the divorce papers that I was responsible for half (before the loan was paid off). Can he get that money from me even though there is no originating creditor?
