Filing fees for a Ch 7 is only $209 - and you can pay that in payments. Some BK lawyers also take payments, so you really might consider at least talking to a couple BK attorneys.

As JKelly stated, you're pretty much judgment proof, you have nothing they can garnish or take from you with the exemptions on your side. However, you will definitely be looking at a lawsuit from Discover - they are sue-happy and it doesn't matter if you are judgment proof, they WILL try anyway. BK will give you peace of mind and relief.
