to all the knowledgeable people here, it seems to me..correct me if im wrong..once a debt is charged off, we are screwed. i see no solution. pay and yes, they shut up. but it sticks for 7 years on your credit. dont pay and its endless calls, threats, abuse and possible suits. so,,once its charged off...and i dont have the amount they want..im screwed. any other views? basically , if one doesnt have the full amount..(which if we had we woulda paid it, DUH!!) one is screwed. another lesson learned on cc. appreciate any views you all have. ty.
