JK, I think that is exactly correct. I had an account that charged off *while* I was making less than the minimum payments each month. The OC continued to add on late charges that were in addition to the minimum payment. So even when I made what *should* have been the minumum payment without the late charge (and additional interest), I remained delinquent because of the late charge that was added and carried over to the next billing cycle.

When they charged it off anyway after repeated attempts to get them to work with me, that's when I quit paying. I calculated the SOL from the date of original delinquency (30 days after the last payment while the account was still current).
