I dont see how "whether they could get AMX to submit to the CA that it was paid in full and then removed from the CA files" would work.

I mean the CA now owns the debt, not the OC. The CA would have to get all the money as per agreement and then ask the OC to file paperwork to claim its paid in full?. Does anyone know of an instance when the OC will go back and do this for the CA ?. If the CA owns the debt why would the OC bother as it is written off already and not property of the OC. The OC gets nothing more cash wise. Someone check this for me but I think this is not something the OC would do.

ALL law firms contact you before being sued unless they can get the money easily with the suit. Why admit to the debt and start dealing with a CA which can screw you, even with agreed paperwork. If you miss ONE PAYMENT to the CA you are dead, they will kill your agreement, possibly even attempt to raid your account since they know you can pay and will then sue. Likewise if you do this dont you reopen the account changing the SOL, especially if the terms of payment make it a loan and not just paying off the existing debt, like so many CA's will do.
