States SOL

I have read many posts trying to figure this one out but still a bit confused. To what state does SOL apply for? To the state where I resided when the CC acount was open? or To the state where I resided when the last payment was made? or To the state where I resided when the account got charged-off? or To the state where I reside currently?
I did a lot of state hopping after college looking for a job.
Just a couple more questions....
I have about 38,000 (Chase, MBNA, Citi, Direct Merchants, Universal and Wachovia) in charged-off debt, about 90,000 in student loan of which 70,000 are current and a 6,000 car loan which is also current. Shouls I still lay low or BK7?
Also, just checked my CR for all three and CitiBank shows a new ballance date of 5/2004 and right around that time The Bureaus run a check? Should I dispute this account or let lay dermant.
