why are you doin this??? do you mean on purpose??? your ruining your credit!!! 1099's are only for when you pay a portion and the forgiven amount is over 600. a plain charge off wont do nothing to your taxes. im sorry, i simply dont understand why your doin this with a lawyer!! no, its not reported to the IRS. its a tax write off to the Oc and ruins hell out of you for 7 years.
