I’ll take a stab at deciphering it.

In a nutshell it says, Who the heck are you suing me?; What the heck account is this?; Why did you wait so long to sue?; What kind of crazy illegal charges are you tacking on?

Here’s how the business works. Some 2 cents on the dollar debt buying scammer buys a 3 year old $5000 account for $100. Then they wait a year until just before the SOL and add 4 years of 25% interest on the original $5000 principal. Then they come knocking on the door for $10,000 for an account they paid $100 for! Sounds almost unbelievable, doesn’t it? Most of them only have the brass b###s to only harass people on the phone, but you’ve got a few brazen crooks who are willing to walk right into a courtroom with these ridiculous claims. I bet the judges just love presiding over this legalized theft. 4 years of college, three of law school, years of practice, and they’re reduced to sitting on the bench watching some crooked lawyer sue somebody for $10,000 on an account they paid $100 for. Jefferson, Madison, and Holmes must be spinning in their graves at the way the laws and courts are being perverted in such a repugnant manner.

The way to rid yourself of these filthy thieves is as your lawyer has done. Ask what account this is. All they get for the $100 is a spreadsheet with account numbers and amounts. Ask why they waited so long to sue for $10,000? Yes there is a SOL, but they can’t sit around waiting to sue while illegal interest continues to pile up. Why didn’t they sue years ago? And nail them with the who the hell are they suing,, i.e. you had a contract with the Bank, so why are these jokers suing you , i.e. what damages did they ever suffer? Get the contract detailing the sale, and amounts etc.

They’ve got nothing to back up any of their claims, so you should make them go away with your lawyer’s response.
