agree with Jk. once charged off...see my earlier post...your screwed. besides, if this person could have paid , it wouldnt be charged off. here is the thing, BD, in my case, interest alone was 75$. they wanted 100$ a month. 25$ towards 5,000....do the math. you will pay and stick it to your credit for 12 years or so. at least. charged off...like JK said, lay low, hope for the best, expect the worst. do anything to keep it from being charged off,,once it is..your screwed. it will stick to the CR for years and years then. naw, if you cant pay it off, forget it. they tried that on me, too. i aint paying 100$ a month for the next 20 years. they also have a nasty habit of taking the money, and interest, and then sending it off or suing you anyways. BIG nasty habit. or creating a new contract...a new CR account, and a new SOL.
