welcome to the board!!!! i used to have that logic too, but i know learned it doesnt work that way. you MUST pay more than the interest,, and mine is 75$...so i would end up paying like 10$ against 5,000 for the rest of my natural life. any program where they lower the interest and see you are coughing up money,, in a few months they will cancel it and jack it back up and your back where you started..minus the few 100 you paid. hon, they dont play fair. ok? keep that in mind. fair does not compute with these a$$h*les. they dont care. period. paying will not help your credit either. at all. unless you pay for delete and thats RARE. even if its in writing, you may have to go to court to force it and there is more time and money on filing fees and all.
