exactly - like i say ***IF*** the creditor challanges & in his case SEEMS like they did NOT .. legally if the creditor would have taken him to court he would have been responsible for the debt also ONLY becouse cali IS community property but in his case the creditor did not challange so excellent looks like your friend will be ok .. trust me here , EVERY EVERY EVERY case in a community property state IS different its not as clear cut as it says in meaning JUST becouse a married couple live in a comm property state does everything automatically get sliced together it really depend exactly how the application was filled out & case by case but IF the creditor ***challanges*** both couples are equally owing the debt but like i say the creditor does not always challange .. just my opinion here , kelly .................
