I used to work in a bank - banks will not cash a check if you do not have the funds in your account to cover the check. This is because they are giving you money for a check that could come back as bad. If it does come back bad, they are going to take the funds out of your account. If you don't have the money in your account...the bank basically eats the check. So more than likely the bank is not going to let you cash checks against your account. Your funds are frozen so if any check you cash comes back bad, they won't be able to take the money from your account to cover it. Hope this makes sense.
