ok, first off, legal aid here will barely help with domestic violence and only 2 lawyers volunteer for that.(one is my daughters nemesis--see below). they have like a waiting list. our town is small, as you know, and the closest bigger one is 80 miles. we have a few good ole' boys who "practice law" before 2 judges who all went to school together. actually, so did i. scary when the judge is someone from your 4th grade homeroom. inbred*** mumbles****...anyways...i used a BK lawyer 30 miles away...i do see usually BOA suing people here at times..providian i think once. in texas, they cant sue us in small claims. must be in district court.

sweety, dont apologize. i truly hate this town, from what i learned with my daughter, drugs, and how cops work. appalling. truly was. to be searched at will...even my house with no warrant..(soon as they watched me drive away) because my daughter married a cops son..who beat her..well, long story, i may never get over the injustice and eye-opening things i went thru. had her arrested...set her bail at 35,000$, lets say i dont think andrea yates had that bail..and then finally let her go without filing charges. the guy who set her bail..a JP does it here..was also her hb's divorce lawyer. rofl.

i agree, Jk, imagine how scary all this is with no lawyer. one can be held up to 90 days here with no hearing to appoint a lawyer. it is hugely scary to me and knowing i have no chance in hell of affording a lawyer, simply terrifies me. i also know if someone dont like you, they can and will arrest you for the helluva it and let you sit awhile.. so , i kinda try to be a spokesman for some here who cant afford legal. should i be in court..its me and only me. and i know the district judge. ha ha. i am screwed.

so, yes, the smartest, best thing is a lawyer. thats just not a option for me or maybe others here. so we ask..endless questions on law. hugssss gf****** love ya. i agree--you did the smart thing. :)
