10/2001 is the correct date, given the information you just posted. Once you've brought the account current, the SOL is no longer applicable until you default again. The account became delinquent upon the first *missed* payment after the account was current.

However, if Midland can't validate the alleged debt, who is to say? It's up to *them* to prove the particulars.
