I recently tried to make could to a collection agency and pay for some of an amount "an arangement" but when I called back, I found out they made another arangement without my consent for a larger amount. Of course the first one I made was a check by phone but it appears the other one will be that way to. I didn't authorize the second. I spoke to a manager who said she terminated all of my checks. I called back to clarify and it appears to be this way. How do I know they won't take the amount out anyways? Do I need to get a new account? They said the OC will sue me for court fees etc. Can they do that in the state of Virginia?
