I have used my bank account to some creditors, but these are current accounts that I have had forever and have never had a late payment on.

The stupid people who ended up getting a judgement refused to work with me in lowering my payments when I was injured and had to retire. I had started sending only money orders, by then, when I opened those accounts.

What exactly is an "asset search", how much does it cost and how do they do it? The monies owed on these accounts are both around six thousand dollars. Of course, they were not anywhere near that big before the CA's and lawyers started attaching fees.

I always thought California had such great laws to protect the consumer. If I understand what has been said, it is possible for anyone to get your asset information if they want to pay the price?
