Suggestions on what to do about 2 chargeoffs

I have 2 accounts that are charge-off accounts. One is a capital one account which has had no activity for almost 3 years now and with interests and all I owe about $1000. I am on my second collection agency with this one. it is currently being handled by the Northland Group and they have offered only a %50 settlement. My second account is a Kohl's charge which is for about $300. it is being handled by Arrow Financial. Arrow is only offering %30 off the original amounts. I am trying to improve my credit and whatnot. I have just graduated from college and all that jazz. I also want to avoid being sued by Cap One. Should I pay these off or what should I do? Any assistance or advice anyone can provide would be emmensly appreciated. Gman
