If you at least file and show up for the trial and they dont show up you can have the case dismissed if you request proof of the account amount, fees and/or other things. This would at least buy you time to look deeper into other options. As others will tell you, if you do not show they get the default judgement and then for the next 10 years or so they can circle you like sharks and wait for your luck to change. Once you start to do better they can rush in and destroy you.

Is it worth $120 and a couple hours time to keep these bastards off your back for the next decade?. This is the only life you have. If you let them win without at least a little fight then you are owned by them for a very long time.
