i was sued by assett acceptance several months ago.i answered the summons and filed it with the court and sent a certified letter to their attorneys. i requested information on debt(all charges, copy of application, any activity, all payments ect...)and also stated this debt was out of sol(it had been almost 5 years since any payments or activity on this account.i did not recieve an answer back.then when i looked up my file in the court dockets it states default judgement entered it also shows where i filed my answer and request for this information. how can this be when no court date was set and i did file a response with the court? and i also was told that the sol for credit card debt in ok was 3 years.i called an attorney and he said that credit cards are considered a contract and that the sol would be 5 years. what is correct and how can i fight this? i hope someone can help me!!
