You can get a secured credit card (you pay them a deposit roughly equal to your line of credit) through any number of lenders. Capital One, for instance (*shudder*).

But given your situation, I would say that a credit card is the last thing you need. Anyone who is behind on their mortgage and can't catch up doesn't need additional payments. You'll just fall further behind.

How about catching up on your mortgage payments so that you're current, THEN start shopping for credit cards? A credit card won't do you a lot of good if you are living in a cardboard box.
