hubby went to the bank yday to see if they could give us a 50% settlement amt to settle with creditors/ca/atty's on "behalf" of oc, anyway he pulled hubby's cr and he honestly told him 2 options. 1- have his dad cosign followed by a laugh, you'd have to understand, because had no collaterol or 2 which he strongly suggested to go to lawyer (he actually named off one we do biz with and said file bk7!!!! how ironic is that. Friday hubby plans on going to lawyer and put x amt down to start pymts to him-atty that is. i guess really biting bullet now. also hubby put on his cr's not my debt .
oh btw got a question - when a co. is supposed to validate the debt, i take it they are not supposed to send you just the monthly statements correct? the darn debt stlmt place only had one validate/verify uggg! glad this board is here, just wish would of found it sooner b4 we did the supposed debt settlement place we'd be in a better spot!!
One more statement to make if you need to put a stop pymt on something make sure you put the amount as $0 and just the company's name and if you know of any other name they go by! hubby put stop pymt and the bank just went by the amt and luckily i had left the amt normally taken out for it in the acct to be on safe side- glad i did the co. took out 115$ instead of its normal almost 181$. bank put money back in his acct today BUT said if stlmt co. rejects it and says don't owe any $ then the bank takes it back out!!!! make sure your bank is smarter than ours!!!
