If it is an original creditor, they are not governed by FDCPA. Only third parties are such as Collection agents. However Texas may have some special laws that also apply to the original creditor and your attorney may be the best to advise you.

If there are no laws limiting how many times a creditor can call you or your neighbors, you will be out of luck. MY BIL had a creditor call all of his neighbors daily, his landlord, all relatives who had the same last name (yep, they called for him here although we live in a different state) and the list goes on.

The original creditor can be three times nastier than any collection agency can be by law.
