Good move calling the IL AG, now call the CA AG too ! SCAMCO is now in hot water for debts they're trying to collect in CA so get on it ASAP.

You should also immediately contact the FTC and file a complaint. Outline EVERY detail of what was said, the threats, everything. The FTC recently smacked SCAMCO with a not-big-enough fine for their illegal tactics and they are being closely watched by the FTC. So, it is VERY important that you get in touch with the FTC.
