I actually can't ask MCM to validate the account since I do know it is mine. But on WhyChat's forum, there is a letter there that is perfect for my situation. It is the Agreement Letter between myself and my creditor.

But here is my question - The Agreement Letter states that both parties are agreeing to a compromise on the payoff of the accounts. IF MCM signs this letter and returns it, is it legally binding to use as a dispute if they sell the remaining amount to another CR?

And, if MCM's offer letter to me clearly states that if I pay the amount listed, they will consider the amount PAID IN FULL and close the account, does that prevent them from selling the account to another CR? If not, can that letter be used to dispute the validity if another CR attempts to collect.

Thanks!
