Thanks so much for that response. Here is my situation. I got balance transfers credited directly into my checking account. I transfered the money into another bank account but I was told that any account with my SSN they can access. Is that true?

I can't pay them back. My sister's bills are growing and it looks like she doesn't have much time left. I want to make her as comfortable as possible.

I'm not worried about collection agencies because I'll be living overseas soon. I just am worried about some other accounts I have to pay bills.

I know I sound like a loser in this situation but I have to do what I have to do. Any other information is greatly appreciated.
