what state are you in? a lot of CAs lie...but a lot sue also. you may be out of SOL with this. do you have proof its paid in full? if it is...get proof in writing and tell the CA to kiss your butt. CAs threaten..all the time. tell them nothing and dont settle. i would bet its out of SOL and no one can sue on it. should they sue...always show in court and defend it. we will help you here all we can. CAs are scum and will lie and threaten you illegally.
