Thanks Homes - I kept hearing that 99% of the time they don't even bother when you file an answer but I knew I'd be that 1% - story of my life. However, it is very very unlikely they would be able to find a signature that belongs to me as I think I opened that account they bought back as far as 1996 - when it was charged off in June 2001 it was for a minimal amount but of course they added on thousands of dollars and reaged the account. I just can't believe the judge said to go to trial when the atty stood there and said they have no back-up at this time - I mean they filed the suit back in the beginning of April - why don't they have the back-up?
