And I, too, felt that disappointment at the first hearing with MCM. That's simply the way they do things in that court. It's not a true trial date, because your case is "set to trial" after the first hearing.

But they're hoping once again that you won't show up for the trial and allow them to get a default. If they didn't have anything for the hearing, they won't have anything for the trial either. They're unlikely to pay money to the OC for a document search when they know that the OC won't produce anything close to what they need to win (if they can produce *anything* at all), especially when any documentation will conclusively prove your affirmative action of expired SOL!

Go get 'em, casey. One more day in court and the day will be yours. :-)
