I have written in the past about ER Solutions and an electric bill from Reliant Energy. Here's an update, I hope someone has some advice...

I have requested ER Solutions to validate the debt three times now, and all they send me is a computer printout from their accounting system that just restates the amount of the alleged debt. I have told them that the account wasnt mine, as I was the victim of id theft, but they still will not do an investigation. Odd being that everything they have sent me that they consider "validation" have someone elses name on it along with addresses that I never lived at. I have tried to contact Reliant, but they wont respond.

I called two NACA attorneys last week, and while they both agreed ER Solutions wasnt obeying the law, they wouldnt take my case b/c there wasnt enough money involved ($730).

My question is, what do I do now? Should I just try to settle or should I send a cease and desist letter? Ive read the messages on this board, and everyone keeps saying that such a letter could trigger a lawsuit, although I dont think they have enough anything to prove the debt is mine (b/c it isnt).
