I just wanted to note that I recently graduated college and have started a new career. All of my credit cards were charged off before I even met my husband. The reason the motorcycle was repossessed was because my husband lost his job and they would not work with us on the payments. He now has a job making more than he did before. Our finances are straight. We have plenty of savings (enough to go on a delayed honeymoon in October!). We are almost 30. We're not spring chickens, I just got into some trouble years ago and we hit a bump in the road with the motorcycle. We live on a budget that is typed up and posted on the refridgerator so we are reminded of it everyday. Often, I smile when I look at it, as it reminds me of how far we have come in such a short time! I really appreciate any and all advice anyone can give to us, I just want to make sure everyone knows where we are right now.
