They may well be the devil, but they don't seem to sue in IL too often. At least not in Cook County, that is. If they don't sue there, I can't imagine why they'd sue anywhere else.

Play dead and allow the SOL to slip by. Don't use or apply for credit if at all possible. Opt-out on your credit reports from pre-approved offers (Why Chat's site has a page explaining how to do this.)

If you're lucky, by the time they decide you're uncollectible and sell to another CA, the SOL will have expired.
