Yes in some jobs having bad credit can cause you to get fired or to never get hired. One such case is what JER describes above, if you are required to have a SEC license. The other case is if you have to have a top level security clearance for your job. You can't even have a bankruptcy on your credit anywhere to get one and you can't have charge offs or unpaid collections.
