I just settled three accounts with CFC - my accounts totaled 1091.00 and I offered to take care of it today for $500. A supervisor jumped on the phone and said they can only go as low as $622.00. I know someone that works in this business and the collection companies themselves make the decision to settle and for how much. The original creditor is completely out of the loop as CFC has purchased this debt already. It sucks for us when collector send their outstanding debtors to these large debt companies because they don't care about helping you resolve the debt. Good luck with this company...
