1)I had a providian account that charged off in 9/01(DOLA) for $2070. Providian shows it as a charge off and closed. a collection agency dunstone financial has the account and is showing the amount as $2070 but as an OPEN account and more than 120 days past due. Am I correct in understanding that collection accounts cannot have a status of open or show any # of days past due. They are also reporting the DOLA as 10/01. What should I do?

2) I had another providian account that charged off with a DOLA of 2/02 for $4375 and is closed, they are now showing the amount owed as $6924. This account was sold to a RMA jaxjaspur and he is reporting it as an OPEn account with a DOLA as 9/02, with $6819 due and over 120 days past due. They also say they have been unable to locate me.

these items are showing on equifax. I am in California and I believe these items are still within the SOL. Please, please help.
