Being judgment proof is no protection against a lawsuit and it is no protection against them reporting you to the credit reports Being judgment proof only states that if they do sue and get a judgment, that all of your monies are exempt from collection. In other words your income is protected by federal statute (child support payments, social security, disability payments, veteran payments, etc) and you have no assets to sieze. They can sue and often do if you are judgment proof (Discover is one such case), and they will still trash your credit on your credit report which legally they can do.

Good luck.
