You don't mention what state you are in now. For the time being, I would say lie low, don't apply for credit, get a new phone number. Turn the phone off and reconnect in somebody else's name. It will look like you moved and possibly keep them from finding your new address. CAs lie and threaten, it is the way they do business. So, if you do start to get phone calls, ignore them. DO NOT COMMUNICATE WITH THEM. The phone is THEIR tool, take it away from them. Hope for the best, be prepared for the worst. Post your state so we can see what kind of SOL you are looking at. With a little luck you in a 3 years SOL state. That would probably be too lucky (grin) but nice.
