In Florida your DL will be suspended indefinitely until they are paid.

I'm not sure if they would actually go through legal channels to try and get the money, but they certainly will suspend your DL, and if you're caught driving with a suspended DL here, it's a 10 day jail sentence.

My advice: Pay the ticket and get a license clearance from your local DMV office.
